Accepting these terms

This page sets the conditions for using vectisworksystems.com. Using the site counts as accepting them. Anyone unwilling to accept them should not use the site.

The purpose of the site

Vectis Works uses this site to describe what it does: automation, software, dashboards and data work for the shop floor. The site makes no offer to contract. Any work happens only under a separate written agreement that both sides have signed, and if the two ever conflict, the signed agreement is the one that counts.

About the samples

Every dashboard, chart and figure shown here, or in the Vectis Works sample dashboard, runs on representative sample data. Its job is to show the sort of views we build. They come from no client, and they commit us to no particular outcome.

Acceptable use

Keep your use lawful. Interfering with the site, reaching any part of it or its systems without permission, testing it for security weaknesses, and using bots or scripts to harvest its pages are all prohibited.

Ownership of content

The text, graphics and logos on this site are the property of Vectis Works, or of those who license material to it. You are welcome to read the pages and print copies to keep as a reference within your business. Anything else requires written permission from us. For client projects, who holds the rights in the work is settled by the written agreement for that project.

Emails you may receive

Vectis Works sometimes emails professionals in roles connected to its services. A reply to any one of those emails is enough to end them. For what we hold and how to ask about it, see the privacy practices page.

Links and outside services

Pages here link to vectisworks.com, and the lettering on every page is loaded from Google Fonts. Those third parties operate under terms and policies of their own, and Vectis Works bears no responsibility for them.

Disclaimer of warranties

We supply the site "as is" and "as available", as general information only. Within the limits the law sets, every warranty is disclaimed, whether express or implied. That includes any warranty of merchantability, of fitness for a particular purpose or of non-infringement, and any assurance that the site will work without interruption or errors.

The site does not give professional, engineering, legal or financial advice.

Liability limits

Unless the law requires otherwise, Vectis Works accepts no liability for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data or lost opportunities connected with the site.

Across all claims related to the site, the most Vectis Works will owe in total is one hundred US dollars.

Your indemnity

If you misuse the site or break these terms, you will defend Vectis Works, its owners, its team members and its agents against the resulting claims, losses and costs, reasonable attorneys' fees included, and hold them harmless.

Law and disputes

Tennessee law applies to these terms, setting aside its rules on conflicts of law. Disputes are settled by binding arbitration, held in Nashville, Tennessee, under American Arbitration Association rules, unless the law rules out arbitration for that dispute.

Other provisions

A part of these terms that turns out to be unenforceable leaves the remainder standing. Choosing not to enforce a term does not waive it. Together with the privacy practices page, these terms make up the whole agreement concerning the site. When we revise them, the effective date above changes.
